As an ardent advocate of foreign language learning, Roger is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Foreign Language Education to understand the processes entailed in language acquisition. Since 2013, Roger Anderson has taught English as a Second Language in a variety of programs at OSU. He also spent two summers teaching English in Indonesia, and most recently worked with Mexican EFL instructors who traveled to Ohio for a month-long intensive experience. Through OSU’s Buck-I-Serv Institute, Roger has advised undergraduate service trips, including three trips to Guatemala to build homes for families under the direction of a local NGO.
In addition, Roger has experience teaching French at the university level, and has explored many francophone countries, including Morocco. Roger’s passion for the Arabic language and cultures developed during his time in Kuwait, Oman, and most prominently, in Morocco, where he lived with a Moroccan family while studying language intensively. He is excited to share this wonderful language with fellow buckeyes.
