Graduate Associateships

For those applying for admission to the graduate program who also wish to be considered for an Associateship, application is made by checking the appropriate box on the Graduate School application form. Continuing graduate students may apply to the Department by February 1. Most Graduate Associates in the Department hold a 50% appointment, which means that in a given quarter they are employed approximately twenty hours per week in teaching, research, or administration. Compensation for new Associates in 2006-07 will be at least $4,153 per quarter paid over three months plus a taxable waiver of all tuition and academic fees, both in-state and out-of-state.
